About the Faculty

The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences was established by Law No. 2765 on May 22, 2008, along with the founding of our university. Initially, it started its educational journey at the Ağdacı Campus with departments of Economics, Business Administration, Political Science and Public Administration, and Management Information Systems.

The faculty welcomed its first students in the 2009-2010 academic year. In 2017, the Tourism Management department and in 2018, the International Trade and Logistics department were added, increasing the total number of departments to six. In the fall semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, our faculty moved to a new building located on the Kutlubeyyazıcılar Campus, where it continues its activities.

Our faculty admits students from all regions of the country and also has a significant international student body. The countries with the highest number of students include Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Chad, Turkmenistan, Somalia, Yemen, Uzbekistan, Russia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, Sudan, Mali, Syria, and students from another 27 countries. With sufficient physical and academic infrastructure, our students have the opportunity to participate in double major and minor programs, as well as domestic and international student exchange programs such as Erasmus, Farabi, and Mevlana. They can also actively participate in scientific, social, and cultural activities and student clubs. Our departments have bilateral agreements with many countries, including Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, and Romania.

Five out of six departments in our faculty offer master's programs under the Graduate Education Institute, and one department (Business Administration) offers a doctoral program.

Our mission is to contribute to society and science at local, national, and universal levels by producing knowledge with a student-centered and innovation-focused approach, and by training competent individuals in their professions. Our vision is to be a faculty that is successful in education and research at universal standards and a pioneer in socio-economic developments at national and international levels. In this context, our faculty aims to improve the quantity and quality of scientific research and publications, enhance efficiency and effectiveness by internalizing quality, and to cultivate individuals who are thoughtful, inquisitive, productive, respectful of the environment and universal values.

Located within the Kutlubeyyazıcılar Campus, connected by the Bartın-Zonguldak-Ankara highway, our faculty is 260 km from Ankara and 400 km from Istanbul. The nearest airport to Bartın is Saltukova (Zonguldak) Airport, which is 38 km away.
