Bartın University (BARU) is among the youngest universities in the world
Bartın University (BARÜ) managed to be among the top 400 in the world in Times Higher Education (THE) "2024 Young University Rankings". BARÜ became the best state university in Turkey in the "Research Quality Category".The "2024 Young Universities Ranking", which includes the world's best young universities, was announced by the UK-based higher education rating agency Times Higher Education (THE). Bartın University (BARÜ) achieved great success by entering the list of the world's best universities from 79 countries for people aged 50 and under, in the 351-400 band in the 15th year of its establishment.
BARÜ, which has achieved significant acceleration in the fields of education, research and development and social responsibility, shared the 8th place with 3 universities among 80 universities evaluated from Turkey. BARÜ made us proud by sharing the 3rd place with a university in the evaluation among state universities.
Ranked 188th in the world and 4th in Turkey in the field of research quality
In the ranking where higher education institutions are evaluated in terms of teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook, BARÜ succeeded in entering the top 200 in the world with its performance in the field of research. In this ranking, BARÜ ranked 188th in the world; It was ranked 4th in Turkey and first among state universities in the same field. BARÜ once again demonstrated its sustainable development with its performance in other areas.

BARÜ Rector Prof. noted that they have made progress that can be proud of with a labor-intensive effort. Rector Uzun also referred to the importance of the success of the university in its 15th year of establishment and said, “As a 15-year-old higher education institution, we are looking forward to the future with its performance.
